Early Tyler is a character in Power Book III: Raising Kanan's fourth season, having previously been mentioned in its first and third seasons. He is a "trustworthy ally and secret-keeper", "a neighborhood institution and a good friend to have in your corner – if you can afford the high financial price of his friendship."[1] Early Tyler is portrayed by Chris Redd.

Early Tyler owned a barber shop for four minutes, which the Board of Health shut down after being infested with lice from a customer's weave.[2]
Raising Kanan[]
Following the closure of his barber shop, Early Tyler plans to open an exotic fish store.[2]
Much later, following Unique's brutal assault by his brother Ronnie Mathis, Early helps Unique recuperate when Unique asks him for help. While Unique secretly recovers in Early's place, Early is impatiently expecting his payment.[3]
