Eric "High Post" Porter is a minor character in Power Book III: Raising Kanan. He is Raq Thomas' late boyfriend who brought her into the game. He is portrayed by Khalil McMillan.
Biography[]
Past[]
Prior to 1985, High Post met Raq Thomas, and she became his girlfriend. Post introduced her to the drug business.[1]
At some point, Post and Ronnie Mathis negotiated that the blocks north of 139th Street are to be a demilitarized zone.[1]
Raising Kanan[]
Raq and Post bag and weigh product.
During 1985, Post and Raq weigh and bag product when Raq's son Kanan returns home from the park crying after being bullied. Post remarks that he came into trouble and tells her not every kid is made for the Southside.[1]
In 1986, Post snitches for unknown reasons, and dies from being burned alive. As a result, Raq takes control of the business of her late boyfriend with her two brothers Lou-Lou and Marvin Thomas.[1]

Post and Raq were "madly in love", as Unique describes the pair. According to Kanan, Post had treated her well.[1] Raq notably quotes one of Post's mantras: "Once you're on your knees, it's damn near impossible to get back on your feet."[1]
Trivia[]
- He was in the Boy Scouts as a child and often made s’mores golden brown when camping with Raq and Kanan.
- He shares the same fate as Andre Coleman: burned alive for snitching.
- Post was apparently a notorious gangster as fellow gangster Unique and Detective Malcolm Howard spoke highly of him and consider it a shame that he died.
