Power Book III: Raising Kanan

Louis "Lou-Lou" Thomas is a major character in the Power Universe, serving as a mentioned character in Power and one of the deuteragonists in Power Book III: Raising Kanan. Lou-Lou, the youngest among the drug-trafficking Thomas siblings, is his sister Raq's musically inclined right-hand. He is portrayed by Malcolm Mays.

Season 1[]

Lou-Lou might be the youngest of the Thomas siblings, but he possesses a stoic wisdom that’s earned him a position as his sister's right-hand man. As one of the few people Raq will listen to, he often provides a voice of reason in the midst of chaos.

Despite coming off as gentle and soft spoken, Lou-Lou isn’t afraid to pull the trigger when called upon. Loyal to the family, he’ll do whatever it takes to get the job done by any means necessary.[1]

The youngest of the Thomas siblings. Lou-Lou is seemingly gentle, soft-spoken – but he is also tough and fiercely loyal. Lou-Lou has a passion for the music business and has big dreams of a future beyond the family business. This season, Lou-Lou grapples with the aftermath of the Mafia ambush which has shattered his music dreams and strained his relationship with his sister.

Lou-Lou is Raq's and Marvin's younger brother.

He serves as Raq's right hand for the drug business, being described as the right man.

  • Kanan describes him as a man who gets the job done right.
  • Lou-Lou's fate after Raising Kanan is unknown. Notably, it is mentioned in Power that Kanan does not have any family in New York anymore.[citation needed]
  • He is the only Thomas sibling to not have kids.
  • Parallels can be drawn between Lou-Lou and Dru Tejada, both being the younger brothers in their respective family drug trafficking organizations who wanted to leave the game for their artistic endeavors.
    • Both Lou-Lou and Dru were hospitalized in their respective series' first seasons after an attempt on their lives.
