Malcolm is a recurring character in Power Book II: Ghost, serving as a minor character in season 1 and a mentioned character in season 2.
He is the ex-boyfriend of Lauren Baldwin and a love rival of Tariq St. Patrick.

Season 1[]
He arrives at the Baldwin’s house where he meets Jabari, Carrie and Tariq. Couple weeks later, before Lauren and Tariq are about make out, Malcolm arrives and berates Lauren for forgetting to meet him and for partying at Tariq’s birthday party. He advises her to transfer to another university but Tariq makes his appearance and Malcolm becomes suspicious and Tariq leaves. The following day, Malcolm arrives at Stansfield to surprise Lauren until he finds her and Tariq play fighting and starts to take pictures of them and berates them for betraying him and calls Tariq disrespectful. Lauren later breaks up with Malcolm. Couple days later, Lauren’s father mentions that he is still going golfing with Malcolm.
Season 2[]
Malcolm is mentioned where Lauren is put in protective custody for wearing a wire about Tariq knowing Jabari’s book and Malcolm tried to warn her parents about her behaviour.
