Mary Jane Blige is an American actress, singer and songwriter. She portrays Monet Stewart Tejada on the Starz original crime drama Power Book II: Ghost.
Biography[]
Blige was born on January 11, 1971 in Bronx, New York. Her career as a rapper/singer-songwriter began to take off in 1991 when she was signed to Uptown Records and proceeded to release 13 studio albums, eight of which achieved multi-platinum worldwide sales. Blige's efforts won her nine Grammy Awards, four American Music Awards, and twelve Billboard Music Awards. She made her acting debut in 1998 on the sitcom The Jamie Foxx Show. More recently, she starred in the Netflix action series The Umbrella Academy as Cha Cha. She also appeared in the Scream: The TV Series as Sherry Elliot.
