These are the guidelines for character articles. Check the list below for guidelines for other types of articles.
- Episode articles
- Season articles
- Cast articles
- Location articles
Editors will need to use the source editor a lot when creating and editing articles.
General
- Article titles should reflect the character's most recognized name, the one that comes to mind first. For instance, Zion is known as Marcus Washington, but his article title is Zion. Similarly, Cane Tejada's real name is Lorenzo Tejada, Jr., yet he is referred to as Cane. If a character's real name is more popular, use that as the title; if both the real name and alias are equally well-known, use the real name, as with James St. Patrick.
- The name in the article title will be used throughout the article. The title should not include middle names or be a full name.
- Character articles are written in the historical present tense, meaning even deceased characters' articles are in the present tense. However, any "past" sections of their biographies should be written in the past tense.
Layout
The layout of character articles are in order as follows:
- Chess icon
- Essential quote
- Infobox
- Overview
- Description
- Personality
- Biography
- Relationships
- Murders
- Trivia
- Quotes
- Gallery
- Appearances
- References
Read about what to include in these sections in the sub-page Article guidelines/Character/Layout.
