Power Universe Wiki:Uploading images

This is a guide on uploading images.

Before uploading

Here are some things to note before uploading an image:

• First, make sure that the image is appropriately named, with the name being descriptive of what the image is and what is in it. For example, an image of James St. Patrick holding a gun should be named "James St. Patrick holds gun", or with any other similar phrasing.
  • Random letters, words, number, symbols, vague or unclear names, and names that have nothing to do with what is in the image are not allowed. Examples:
    • Image of James St. Patrick being named "jsppsjjsppsj1980"
    • Image of James and Tasha St. Patrick being named "divorced couple"
    • Image of Cane Tejada being named "Tariq"
• Second, check if the image is from an official and/or reliable source.
  • On the other hand, if the image being uploaded is for official wiki purposes such as icons for templates, check if the image is under a free license, such as Creative Commons and Public Domain.
• Third, if the image is a leak, do not upload it as leaks are not allowed on the wiki.
• Lastly, make sure the image does not have the same name as other images on the wiki.

How to upload images

• On the wiki's navigation bar, go to the Explore menu and click Images.
  • You should be directed to "Gallery of new files"
• Click the "Add new image" button on the top right.
• Click "Select a file", and select the file you want to upload.
• Click "More options", and select the appropriate license in the licensing drop-down menu.
  • If the image being uploaded is a promotional image, select "This image was released by Starz or any other reliable source as a promotional photo for the Power universe"
  • If it is a screencap, select "This image is a screencap from the Power universe"
• Click "Upload file"

Categorizing images

Images should be categorized under the category "Images of [character name]". If you find an image that does not have a category, add one.

For example, Power Book II Ghost Season 1 Promotional Image 1.jpg has the categories Images of Brayden Weston, Images of Zeke Cross, Images of Lauren Baldwin, Images of Tariq St. Patrick, Images of Cane Tejada, Images of Diana Tejada, Images of Dru Tejada
