The fourth season of Power Book III: Raising Kanan was renewed on November 28, 2023. It premiered on March 7, 2025 and ended on May 16, 2025.

In the riveting fourth season, slates have seemingly been wiped clean for Kanan, Raq, and the rest of the Thomas family in pursuit of a fresh start. However in the eye of the storm, one very dangerous obstacle looms large, Unique is alive. Unique makes a volatile and violent return, as he hunts to upend the lives of the Thomas family. Amidst the chaos, the Thomas family faces a truth that can no longer be denied: You are who you are. Although you may be capable of change, the fundamentals remain the same, and sooner or later, you will be forced to confront the inescapable reality of your inherent nature. In season four, whether the family chooses to reject or embrace the truth may be the difference between life and death.[1]

- Joey Bada$$ described Unique as "way more hyperactive, irritable, just rageful" because of his head trauma in Raising Kanan's fourth season.[3]
- Additionally, Sascha Penn stated that Unique's survival from his brush with death will be explained in this season.[4]
- Previously a mentioned character, Early Tyler made his first appearance this season. He is portrayed by comedian Chris Redd.
- The streaming description for the season before its release incorrectly referred to the Thomases as the "rest of the Starks", before being changed to the "rest of the Thomas family."
- Before its release, fans were encouraged to post their impressions of Unique to "unlock the Season 4 trailer."
- Hailey Kilgore stated that Season 4 will depict the beginning of Jukebox's "villain arc", and that she will start to resemble her adult version from Power.[5]
- Kanan Stark is 17 years old this season, indicating that it takes place in 1992.[6]
