"Storm Clouds" is the fourth episode of the first season and the 4th overall episode of Power Book IV: Force.
Plot[]
At the Chicago Brothers Barbershop, Jenard confides in his ally Elijah Linden about his plans to regain control over CBI. JP's son D-Mac arrives to get work from Jenard, who assigns him to recruit other soldiers. Meanwhile at Tommy's place, a suspicious Tommy instructs Liliana to follow Claudia Flynn. Claudia successfully initiates her first drug deal, and her client, Reggie, enthusiastically approves of her new designer drug. Claudia asks him that their operations must remain secret from her family.
Tommy meets with Diamond at Slick’s diner, where they discuss business. Vic appears to apologize for his father's actions, and the three men agree to work together. They head to the Yardies' territory, the first target of their revamped drug trafficking operations, but before they could make a proposal to Zamost, Elijah warns Diamond through the phone that someone tipped off the police who are now closing in on the Yardies, and Tommy, Diamond, and Vic barely escape as the cops rush in. Diamond recognizes Seamus as the cop who visited him earlier, and Vic admits that he is on his payroll.
Claudia and Mai find they lack sufficient product for their drug operation. Claudia demands a tight-lipped Mai to divulge the identity of the person who concocted her new designer drug, and Mai relents and admits a previous connection to a chemist, but she questions Claudia on her being the only one in their partnership making the decisions. Meanwhile, Vic tries to manipulate Tommy into drinking at Gloria’s bar, revealing knowledge of Tommy’s relationship with Gloria, causing tension between them, but they agree to prioritize business. When Vic gets home, he and Walter argue about Vic's recent decisions and the future of the Flynn family, and Walter insists he is the sole decision-maker for their family. Walter later confronts Tommy about his association with Vic outside Gloria's bar. At the barbershop, Jenard continues to criticize Diamond's decisions and warns him about aligning with Tommy.
At Liliana's residence, two members of the Serbian mob ambush her, and demands to give them back their product, which she stole. They then coerce her to contact her connect, and she furtively tells Tommy through text that she is in danger and to kill her captors. Tommy receives her message while he talks with JP and his father, and he rescues Liliana in time, with the two killing the Serbian mobsters. Tommy warns Liliana the their deaths will attract the attention of their boss, who will come after them, and he learns the boss' identity, Tatiana.
Tommy leaves Liliana at the barbershop for Jenard to supervise her, while he discusses his plan to take down the Serbs to Diamond with his help, and Diamond declines. While they are alone, Jenard offers Liliana a price to kill Tommy, which she refuses. At the same time, Tatiana arrives in Chicago to kill Liliana.
With no support from Diamond, Tommy turns to Vic, who is eager to prove himself. Tommy confronts Tatiana and two of her goons, declaring his commitment to protect Liliana at all costs. Vic and Tommy kill them afterward. Meanwhile, JP protects his club from D-Mac and his friends, while Claudia and Mai invite the aforementioned chemist under false pretenses to ensure her compliance in their drug operation.
